Lehigh Valley Ironpigs Recognize Michael Butz with 2018 Community Star Award

Allentown, PA, May 31, 2018 . . . The Lehigh Valley IronPigs recognized Michael Butz with the 2018 Lehigh Valley Community Star Award presented by Stoudt Associates. The award was given prior to the start of Wednesday night's home game at Coca-Cola Park against the Charlotte Knights. This award is designed to recognize individuals that are making a difference in the community and are committed to making the Lehigh Valley a better place for all.

Mike earned his Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations from The Pennsylvania State University in 2011. He also completed training at the Project Manager's Academy, Construction Executive Institute for FMI, the leading management consulting, investment banking and people development firm dedicated exclusively to the engineering and construction industry. He started working for the firm as an intern and now works in management. He is also involved in strategy for The Butz Family of Companies and sister company, Forge Development.

He is a current member of the Board of Governors for The Chamber, former Board Member for Young Professionals, Parkland School District Strategic Planning Committee, Minsi Trails Council Leadership Dinner Committee, Laborers Local 1174 Health and Welfare Board and a member of the Construction Management Association of America. Mike and his wife, Codi, are members of United Way's Tocqueville Society.

In addition, Mike is involved with the William Allen Construction Company, a student-run organization that combines education and career development, and serves as a coach for the Allentown DRIVE Baseball program for inner-city kids started by his grandfather, Lee Butz.
