Butz Corporate Center Cuts the Ribbon on Phase 2 Expansion
Allentown, PA, June 3, 2013 . . . The Butz Corporate Center at Ninth and Hamilton Streets in Allentown officially cut the ribbon today on the Phase 2 expansion at First Monday. Attendees of First Monday were the first to get a glimpse of the new tenant spaces for StoudtPoole PLLC and United Fiber & Data, who have offices on the second floor.
Owners of The Deli Plaza 2, Mike Eleshaky and Mohamed Mansour, will be opening Veeny Pizza this summer on the first floor of the expanded building where the celebration took place.
Butz Corporate Center Phase 2 is the first building among several ongoing office projects, to be completed in the Neighborhood Improvement Zone. "This expansion demonstrates our company's and my family's deep commitment to the success of downtown Allentown," says Greg L. Butz, president & CEO of Alvin H. Butz, Inc. "We are extremely excited to celebrate our expansion with the Allentown First Monday attendees." First Monday is held monthly at different companies in Allentown and coordinated by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The 50,000 SF, Class-A Office and Retail Building is located at 824 and 830 Hamilton Street. The expansion is Phase II of the Butz Corporate Center project and is expected to bring another 150 jobs to downtown Allentown. Currently, approximately 40,000 SF of office space is available. John Crampsie, a principal with NAI Summit, is handling the leasing. The building was designed by Roberson Butz Architects and built by Alvin H. Butz, Inc.
In addition to its prime downtown location, the expanded building will feature significant broadband capacity, competitive telephone access and underground utilities, beautiful architecture and design, and easy access to parking, public transportation and major highways. Butz will pursue Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Certification.
In May, Butz announced a third expansion to the Corporate Center which will house Think Loud Development and United Fiber & Data's new regional Sales Headquarters. UFD will occupy 10,000 square feet of the new, 10-story mixed-use building at the Butz Corporate Center (BCC Phase 3) with 3 levels of parking, 4 levels of office space and 3 levels of apartments/condominiums on the upper floors.
